  1. Lavender is one of the most amazing, delicate flower. We can enjoy them in deep purple, light purple, pink and white.

Lavender is a beautifully scented herb, inhaling lavender scent can prevent stress, anxiety and depression.

One of my real favorite craft project is making lavender sachets.

I hand pick our lavender, dry them in small banches. I rub the dried lavender flowers between my fingers to get the lovely small buds off the stem. I sew small bags from cotton fabric and fill them with the lavender buds.

Lavender sachet makes a lovely present for our loved ones but always save some for ourselves.

Put one under your pillow to get a better night sleep.

Massage it gently between your fingers while watching TV or reading your book.

Put it in your wardrobe and drawers or Christmas stockings and anywhere in the house to enjoy the lovely scent and the benefits of it.

    Enjoy xxxx

  2. Hello,

I would like to tell you which oils and butters I use in Jumo Naturals soaps. They are all natural, carefully selected amazing ingredients.

The basic recipe contains Olive oil, Coconut oil, Palm oil, Shea butter, Castor oil, Cocoa butter and Vitamin E

Olive oil is produced by pressing whole olives.

Nearly 50% of the basic ingredients in Jumo naturals soaps is olive oil.

100% olive oil soap is Castille soap which is wonderful for the skin but doesn’t lather well.

Olive oil is a rich emollient, it softens and smoothen skin, while allowing the skin to breathe, great for dry and sensitive skin.

Coconut oil is extracted from the meat of the coconut.

Jumo natural soaps contains more than 20% coconut oil.

Coconut oil harden the soap and it is a great cleanser, also gives very good lather to the soap. It is best to use less than 30% in soapmaking as it could dry the skin. 100% coconut soaps are best made with 20%-30% superfat (20-30% of the oil is not turned into soap, it stays as oil in the soap to help to keep skin moisturised)

Coconut oil has amazing benefits for skin, very few of them: moisturising, nourishing, helps with acne treatment, anti-aging, antibacterial, antifungal.

Plam oil is pressed out of the Palm fruit.

Jumo Naturals using only responsibly sourced (RSPO) oils.

I use over 10% of Palm oil in my basic recipe.

Palm oil gives hardness and good lather to the soap.

Palm oil is deeply moisturizing, fights against aging, great for acne treatment.

Shea butter is extracted from the nut of the African she tree.

Jumo naturals soaps contains a little bit less than 10% shea butter.

Shea butter is an amazing ingredients in soap making, gives luxurious, thick, creamy leather. Many soap makers use 5%-30% in their soaps, I was very pleased with my 100% shea butter soap as well.

Shea butter is a wonderful moisturiser for all skin types, soothes, softens the skin. It is a great beneficial leave on product, one of my real favourite.

Castor oil  Castor bean plant seeds are pressed to extract the oil.

I use 5% of castor oil in all Jumo naturals soaps to increase the lather and also for it’s great cleansing and moisturising benefits.

Mostly used 2-5% in cold process soap making, more than 10% would give stickiness to the soap.

Castor oil is a great skin moisturizer, it delays the signs of aging.

Cocoa butter is extracted from cocoa beans.

Cocoa butter is a real luxurious ingredients in soap making. It is supporting rich creamy lathering, makes the soap harder, gives great moisturising properties to the product.

Vitamin E oil 40000IU is extracted from Vitamin E rich oils like canola, soya or corn through distillation.

Vitamin E oil prevents water loss from skin, moisturising, restore normal balance to the skin, anti-aging, deep pore cleansing, antioxidant.

These are the main ingredients in Jumo Naturals handcrafted soaps. I will be back to tell you about more wonderful natural ingredients what I use in my soaps like Lavender, Chamomile, Calendula, Dandelion, Rosehip, Lemon zest, Ginger, Poppy seeds, Nettle powder, Fresh coffee, Collodial oatmeal, Honey, Different clays, Charcoal from coconut shell ,Sea salt, Coconut milk, Beer ;) , and pure essential oils.

    Enjoy your weekend.

    Monika :)
